Here are some very unusual sculptures.  When you are making distressed classic cars that look like they have been through 50 years of wear/tear and neglect, you end up with a lot of extra pieces of cars and trucks.

Why not take them and do a junkyard mess!

What a mess!

This is just a gathering of old junk parts of a number of different classic cars arranged in an abstract sculpture.

Hard to believe that this was a new shiny truck

Can you identify the parts?  Do you like them?  Think they would make a interesting display piece on your desk or shelf?   What a conversational piece!

Up-side down or Right-side up?

 …

They were once rulers of the road.  Bright, new, shiny, flowing lines…beautiful works of art!  Now they don’t look so good…neglected, abandoned, rusty and falling apart.

But they still have an elegance and beauty that time and neglect cannot erase!

Many were driven thousands of miles without any care, maintenance or tender loving care.  They become broken down, neglected, dirty, greesy, rusted and finally abandonded.  But you can’t kill the work of art of a classic car.  No matter how beat-up and broken…they still maintain that elegance of the past.

Take a look at these two beauties.  AZ artist James Roark creates miniature models of old Classic Cars like they look today after…

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

This is a 1923 Chevy 2-door coupe that has experienced a lot of neglect.  It was unique in it’s time for it had a copper cooled radiator which was supposed to make the engine run cooler.  You have got to have been around time to remember and drive this baby!  It may be a jalopy now…

but in it’s time…it was a beautiful Classic Automobile!

Have you ever spent time in a junkyard of old classic cars?

Rusty Chevy is the Boss!

These “Metal Monsters” may be forgotten and abandoned, but they still maintain their beauty and elegance and each one says to you…”Respect me, I was once a “ruler of the road!”   And they still are.

Rust Trunk

Each Classic Car is sculptured in miniature by Arizona Artist, James Roark to look exactly like the real thing!  All the rust, dust,  greese, grime, broken windows, flat tires, missing parts are carefully crafted so real that you would think it is a full scale representation.  But it’s not.  Thesel are 1/24 and 1/32 scale models.  If you…

You can surely appreciate the cars from the past.

Rustic Relics, just 8″ long

Take a look at what AZ Artist, James Roark does with miniature auto classics.

He creates them as they would probably look in the junkyard today

You can purchase one…just look at his website!  Remember…these autos are all about 8 or 9 inches long!

It looks like the owner didn’t take very good care of it…and now it’s a bit late to clean it up!

Years of neglect!

Today, this car might be considered a classic and bring in thousands of dollars had it been kept up and restored.  Is this one a good candidate for restoration?  Or should it just be used as a run-around Jalopy?

“Needs a bit of a clean up!”

I don’t think it is in condition to run around.  Probably sitting in somebody’s backyard, just waiting for the right person to come along.…

Do you like old cars?

Do you somehow see beauty in the old rusted hulks of yesterday’s classic autos?

Would you like to have a display piece (about 10 inches long) on your desk or coffee table that people can’t stop looking at and commenting about?

Consider Arizona Artist’s Model Classic Cars!  As you can see by these photos, they look so real.  Great collector’s item.  People will spend hours just looking at the hand crafted super detail of oil, greese, flat tires, broken windows, torn headliners, rust, rot, wear and tear.  Still, no…

The Classic 1949-50 Ford Convertible was the dream of many of the younger set, including myself.  How cool it was to drive down the highway with the wind blowing in your face with all that V-8 power under the hood.

49 Ford with some wear and tear!

It was a great car, a “cool car” with a sleek and powerful design.  However the one we have pictured here has no doubt seen better days!  Seems like some 50 years of neglect, wear, tear and abuse have taken it’s toll!  Is is now considered a Jalopy?

Display this beauty on your desk or bookshelf!

This 1928 flat-bed Ford pick-up was a beauty in it’s time!

Rusty Dusty

This truck has seen a lot of wear and tear.  It may have been a pick-up, until  some owner many years ago took off the sides of the bed and converted it into a flat bed.  Whoever the owner was they sure didn’t take very good care of it as far and fix up and maintenance was concerned.

Below are some other photos of the Ford Classic.  Can you imagine driving this beast today?  Click on any one photo for a close up and more detail.  How would you like this as a display piece collectable on your desk…

Have you ever owned a Jalopy?

What is a Jalopy?  It’s a junker car that probably does not match up to the nice car your next door neighbor is driving, but it gets you from place to place, does not require a lot of expensive maintenance.

Old Time Jalopy at Model Car Classics

Seen better days!

The name Jalopy seems to stick with Fords rather than other makes of cars. Here is a qualified Jalopy that truly has seen better days.  In fact I am not sure this one is still running.
