Z-7  1920 “White” Coal hauling truck

 “Dirty-Dan”

Like today, truck manufacturers custom built trucks for specific jobs.  Back in the 20’s coal was the primary source of fuel for heating.  A coal truck had to be built rough and tough and not much attention was paid to the maintenance.

I took a 1/32 scale die-cast truck, dis-assembled and distressed it into what you see here.  This original truck is currently for sale on this website.  You can purchase this original photograph in either 5″x7″ or 8″x10″ size, matted ready for framing.

Noted for it’s strength, this old truck should still be running, although there is probably not too much coal for it to haul today!
